The last recorded work of Amy Winehouse is out on iTunes today and it serves as a musical memoir of the ill fated but immensely talented songstress. Assembled after her death by her producers and close friends Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson, Lioness: Hidden Treasures offers a little something for everyone. There’s alternate takes of popular tracks “Tears Dry…” and “Love is a Losing Game” plus never released originals including a snappy gem with her favorite rapper Nas. It also highlights Amy’s jazzier side with a nice assortment of classics including the “Body and Soul” duet with Tony Bennett, which is her final studio recording. Though bittersweet, it should satisfy the many who were anxiously awaiting the follow up chapter to her breakout hit Back to Black…at least temporarily. Fans who want to savor every last detail, will appreciate the video below where her soul mates in music recall the special moments that went into recording of each of these treasured songs.
